We are in tall cotton for the rest of the month as we have more than a few esteemed performers coming our way. Except for Mike Schmidt who is just plain steamed. Oh yes, the NEW PIONEERS are here on Thursday April 19, a week after their usual slot of the second Thursday of each month.
On Friday April 20, two performers who have been friends and co-writers for decades will share the stage in a rare event in their respective musical travels- duelling dazzle with WILLY PORTER & LJ BOOTH. And Mr. Porter will venture into the ozone all on his own on Saturday. the 21st. There are at the moment of this writing seats available for each show. Call to reserve them.
And our own LOS ZOMBIES dominate the room on Thursday, April 26.
On April 27 and 28 SAM LLANAS (formerly of the Bodeans) returns with his tasteful band mates to put on two nights showcasing his penetrating singing and songwriting ability. He has many new songs in his repertoire and for a combo that performs mostly on stages larger than our whole back room and with monitors that dwarf our entire inventory of speakers, this band plays the little ol’ Carpe perfectly. A great chance to be on the inside of an exceptional artist. Call to reserve seats.
The Sunday April 29th show featuring righteous dudes JEFFREY FOUCAULT and Andy Friedman sold out today. Getting on a waiting list may give you the chance to get in if someone contacts us and wants to give up their tickets.
On Friday May 4th PATCHOULI return as they have been doing for years now and continue to build audience with their vocals, harmonies and multi-instrumental exhibits.
We may have a special theater presentation on Sunday, May 6th so pencil that in your mind for a moment. It involves two actors associated with the Milwaukee theater scene and a thought provoking play written by David Mament called “Oleanna”. I witnessed the play in Milwaukee this week and it is a great chance to have this type of performance in our town. Stay tuned.
