Mare Edstrom and Kenn Fox are currently completing their 5^th album of all-blues material. The project, entitled Way Beyond the Blue, is a collection of Gospel Blues from the 1920’s and 30’s. Way Beyond the Blue, recorded direct to analog tape, explores vintage material by Gary Davis, Blind Willie Johnson, Mississippi Fred McDowell and others, combining modern arrangements with a rootsy, live production style.

Come and learn about Country Blues and hear it played in an authentic setting as Mare and Kenn perform material from the new album, along with Blues classics from their vast repertoire of vintage material.

The Midwest Guitar Trio, comprised of guitarists Kenn Fox, Richard McKay, and Dave Karnes will perform an opening set. The Midwest Guitar Trio is an instrumental guitar showcase featuring Celtic, Ragtime, Swing, and contemporary Fingerstyle material
