KAREN JOHNSON started performing at the Café Carpe in 1998. She says she counts herself so very fortunate to have the opportunity to perform at such a wonderful place!   (aww.. Ed.)

Karen retired early from her career as a 4th grade teacher.  She now enjoys many opportunities to visit her grown children.

Joan Baez, Nanci Griffith, and Alison Krauss are just a few of her favorite artists. Listening to the Country Radio in her dad’s old Chevy truck sparked her love for old country songs of which a few find their way onto her song list.
