It is fortunate. CORKY SIEGEL  has headlined at places like Lincoln Center (“They Love Corky Siegel in Lincoln Center” – NEW YORK TIMES) Kennedy Center (“Siegel is a phenomenon” – WASHINGTON POST), Symphony Center (Chicago), the San Francisco Ballrooms during the summer of love, and even the Aspen Music Festival (“Blows a lot of people’s minds” – ASPEN TIMES) but OMG, his favorite hang is Cafe Carpe.

This time he’s bringing back 2x Grammy winner 4x nominated modern jazz saxophone icon ERNIE WATTS for the second time, if you can believe that!

They met on a concert series of prestigious venues in India and have since been joined at the very hip.

Ernie has toured with the Rolling Stones, and a member of Buddy Rich band, the Charlie Hayden quartet, and has performed and/or recorded with everyone from cannonball Adderley to Frank Zappa who named Ernie “The Grand Wazoo.” ALL ABOUT JAZZ calls him “A marvel.”

And if that is not enough (nothing is ever enough with Corky – or Cafe Carpe for that matter) he’s bringing along KAYLAN “Johnny Bongo” PATHAK – tabla wizard (“Percussion Magic” – DOWNBEAT MAGAZINE) who happened to be Aretha Franklyn’s favorite. Sorry Aretha – now he’s our favorite.

With this cultural and sonic contrast, songs and solos, this unlikely force of The Three Musicteers and Tres Amigos will take all of us to beautiful and exciting places we’ve never been before.
