December 31, 2013 @ 6:30 pm - January 1, 2014 @ 12:30 am
see event textCome and enjoy a leisurely casual New Year’s Eve hanging out with friends and friendly strangers at the Carpe.
The music: THE BROTHERS QUINN is a four piece folk ensemble from southeastern Wisconsin fronted by WAMI award winning fiddle player Blaine McQuinn. The Brothers Quinn perform a variety of music including Irish, bluegrass, classic country, and blues; however, it’s not unusual to hear some Beatles or even Radiohead. Blaine is joined on stage by his brother Timothy McQuinn on drums, washboard, and vocals, Peyton Lencho on upright bass and Brian “Looper” Lucas on harmonica, guitar and vocals. Together, these boys bring a unique energy to familiar songs and even a few unfamiliar tunes.
The food: We are serving a Thai coconut curry with a Thai salad, delicious of course. Those with any special food issues should notify us when placing reservations. (There is not the big multi-course buffet we have done other years.) A dessert will be served during the set break.
Reservations are strongly encouraged. Will be serving from 6:30 on. Music will start around 9:30.
Food and music price: $35
Music alone: $20 includes ticket for beer or dessert
When reserving, indicate whether you are calling for dinner and show or just dinner or just show.
