Award-winning Arkansas gospel & folk music singer/songwriter CAROLYN CARTER began singing and playing music as a very small child in eastern Arkansas. Like many folk and gospel singers, her music began with songs she learned in church. She wrote her first songs as a teenager. Carolyn continued singing as a young mom while raising three children. She has performed in the Ozark Mountain area of northern Arkansas for over 16 years and credits renowned Arkansas musician Odell Jackson for an early inspiration for her to write her stories through her own music.
