This is a lovely gathering of singers\, songwriters\, musicians and music appreciators\, poets\, and storytellers held somewhat regularly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. \nTraditional Round Robin protocol applies – everyone is part of the circle and has an opportunity to: play\, pass or request a song from someone in particular or from anyone in the circle. \nEveryone is welcome to attend. $5 cover for musicians and audience. Come early and have a bite to eat- therein lies our sustenance.

DESCRIPTION:CAM PIERCE  is a masterful songwriter with the innate ability to layer shared experiences of human complexities into a 3-minute novella that at first listen appears to be simple and straightforward. One of the defining characteristics of his style lies in his ability to bring the listener into the story\, presenting songs in an extremely visual fashion. Almost more of a video than a song. The unique traits stretch over an already substantial catalog of work that is honest\, and true\, set apart from so much of the over-polished and diluted styles of the modern time. \nAlthough his sound is not easily defined\, it is admired and respected by serious music lovers across various genres both in the U.S. and far beyond. Inspiration for his unique sound can in large part be attributed to Pierce’s innate respect for nature and in the beauty and solitude of the Oregon mountains where he was born and spent most of his life\, until blindly to Nashville in 2017. Pierce’s musings can also be linked to the folks he meets on the road. He is able to find genuine\, relatable\, shared human experiences\, and include his observations in his lyrics. That IS the school of practice for the die hard songsmith. Simple\, vast and heavy. Something for everyone. Like a forgotten jukebox of timeless songs which one has the feeling they’ve heard a thousand times before. \nA traveler\, a singer\, a documentarian of past\, present and future. DESCRIPTION:VICTOR SANDERS has been called “A master of mystery guitar.” His electric guitar and well-equipped pedalboard create sounds that are hard to believe come from a six-string guitar. His playing strives to combine playful imagination with atmospheric textures\, and a well-honed technique. \nVictor was a founding member of the legendaryElectro-Folk-Experimental ensemble\, “Care of the Cow”\, sharing stages with Tom Waits\, John Fahey\, Tom Rush and many more. As a composer\, he worked with Body Parts\, an ensemble he created to work with the many talented choreographers and dancers in the Chicago Modern Dance scene. He has been a member of the bands Straightface\, Night on Earth and The Hannah Frank Group. \nCurrently\, Victor is known for his work accompanying Singer/songwriters\, playing with contemporary artists such as Susan Abelson\, Rachel Drew\, Naomi Ashley\, Heidi Serwer\, Al Day\, Ava Brennan\, Christina Trulio\, And guest artist with The Gunnelpumpers\, The Neo-Psychedelic group\, Whitewolfsonicprincess\, and the eclectic Susan & Sons. \nWhen not playing music\, he can be found recording and producing other artists at his recording studio\, Lakeside Media. \nAL DAY  has been hailed “Most Promising Songwriter” by Chicago Magazine and has appeared in clubs and colleges throughout the United States and on radio and TV shows such as WFMT’s “Midnight Special” and WTTW’s “Sound Stage.” In 1996\, Al formed the Al Day Trio\, which released the critically acclaimed CD “Guest House” in 2003.  Al has collaborated with Hollywood composer and producer Jim Jacobsen in the group\, Naked Davis Jr.\, with which he released the cutting-edge CD “Troubled.”  In 2017\, Al formed the jazz/spoken word group The Last Word with pianist Bob Long\, poet Marc Kelly Smith and bassist/composer Doug Lofstrom.  Beyond collaborating as a musician and writer with Last Word members\, Al has written librettos for several of Lofstrom’s musical theater works\, including the opera “Two Soldiers.” \nBass player Kevin Clark lives in Madison. He is a former member of the band Care of the Cow and the contra dance band the Last Gaspe’.
