SUMMARY:BILL STAINES
DESCRIPTION:********I inadvertently put the wrong time in for this show (corrected now).  We like to start the weekday shows earlier at 8:00\, and will try to do so this time\, depending on when people arrive. \nThe New Pioneers would usually have this 2nd Thursday\, but they will perform on August 17th. \nPlease call 920-563-9391 to reserve. \nAnyone not familiar with the music of Bill Staines is in for a special treat. \nSinging mostly his own songs\, he has become one of the most popular and durable singers on the folk music scene today\, performing nearly 200 concerts a year and driving over 65\,000 miles annually. He weaves a blend of gentle wit and humor into his performances and one reviewer wrote\, “He has a sense of timing to match the best standup comic.” \nBill’s music is a slice of Americana\, reflecting with the same ease his feelings about the prairie people of the Midwest or the adventurers of the Yukon\, the on-the-road truckers\, or the everyday workers that make up this land. \nMany of Bill’s songs have appeared in grade school music books\, church hymnals\, and scouting campfire songbooks; he is one of only a few songwriters to have eight songs published in the classic song collection\, Rise up Singing. Composer David Amram recently described Bill as “a modern day Stephen Foster…his songs will be around 100 years from now.” \nOver the decades\, you have heard Bill singing on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion\, HBO’s award winning series Deadwood\, and Public Radio’s Mountain Stage. Additionally\, his music has been used in a number of films including Off and Running\, with Cyndi Lauper\, and The Return of the Secaucus Seven\, John Sayles’ debut as a writer- director. \nIn 1975\, Bill won National Yodeling Championship in Kerrville Texas. Another important recognition was given to him in 2007. Presented by the Boston Area Coffeehouse Association\, The Jerry Christen Award recognized Bill’s contribution to New England folk music. \nCurrently\, Bill has recorded 26 albums; The Happy Wanderer and One More River were winners of the prestigious Parents’ Choice Award\, taking a gold medal and silver medal respectively. His songs have been recorded by many artists including Peter\, Paul\, and Mary\, Tommy Makem and Liam Clancy\, The Highwaymen\, Mason Williams\, Grandpa Jones\, Jerry Jeff Walker\, Nanci Griffith\, Glen Yarborough and others. \n“Folk music is rich in the human spirit and experience. I’ve always wanted to bring something of value to people through my songs.” With these thoughts\, Bill continues to drive the highways and back roads of the country year after year\, bringing his music to listeners\, young and old. \n“Bill Staines has been my hero since 1977. He carries on where Woody left off-carrying on the tradition of stories and characters you wish you knew.” – Nanci Griffith\n“Staines is one of the best songwriters in folk music today\, penning lyrics that evoke a sense of place and a generous spirit to go along with his pretty melodies. – Associated Press\n“Staines is one of folk music’s best songwriters and entertainers.” – Milwaukee Journal\n“There is no better writer of instantly memorable singalong choruses in this genre of music!” – The Boston Globe\n“His gentle lilting voice\, spacious melodies and common-chord lyrics give his songs a homespun grace that often belies his mastery of the folk form. He is such a pure pleasure too\, people forget to notice how damn good at the job of singer-songwritering he really is.” – New England Folk Almanac\n“Folk singer Bill Staines’ compositions recall the paintings of Grandma Moses – simple\, literal and evocative of a bucolic tranquility that modern times have almost erased.” – Hartford Courant \nPlease call 920-563-9391 to reserve.

SUMMARY:ANTJE DUVEKOT
DESCRIPTION:Please call 920-563-9391 to reserve. \nANTJE DUVEKOT  has solidified her reputation as one of Boston’s top singer songwriters with “Big Dream Boulevard”\, her debut studio release and “the Near Demise of the Highwire Dancer” and “New Siberia”\,  her follow-up albums. The debut CD was produced by Seamus Egan\, founder of the Irish super group\, SOLAS and the project was released on Ellis Paul’s label. It was voted “#1 Folk Release of 2006” by the Boston Globe and was named to the “Top 10 Releases of the Year” by National Public Radio’s\, Folk Alley. Her follow up albums “the Near Demise of the Highwire Dancer” and “New Siberia” were produced by Richard Shindell and alongside with Richard feature other “folk royalty” such as John Gorka\, Lucy Kaplancky and Mark Erelli. \n“Toward the Thunder” is Antje Duvekot’s fourth studio release. Produced by Scott Petito and recorded at NRS studios in Woodstock\, the new album centers around themes of courage\, resilience and striving for something better. It features an impressive cast of folk royalty from Shawn Mullins to Anais Mitchell\, Liz Longley\, John Gorka\, Martyn Joseph to Kris Delmhorst and Richard Shindell. In addition to nine new Duvekot originals and the traditional tune “the Parting Glass” the album includes a Dar Williams cover “The Light and the Sea” from which the record title\, as well as the album art\, is derived. The song is about resilience and the fact that there is always a light that one can turn to\, even in times of storm and upheaval. Like most of Duvekot’s writing\, a sense of hope and perseverance shines through the songs on “Toward the Thunder”.  \n“What a blessing to have worked with someone as talented as Antje. With a voice like hers\, and songs as good as these\, a producer (especially a first-time producer!) just tries to get out of the way\, to do no harm\, and to let the artist speak for herself.” – Richard Shindell \n“Duvekot has gotten hotter\, faster than any local songwriter in recent memory. Her songs feel at once fresh faced and firmly rooted\, driven by the whispery sensuality of her voice. She believes in the redemptive power of the shared secret; and is utterly unafraid to mine the darkest corners of her life for songs that turn fear into resilience and isolation into community”. The Boston Globe \nAntje has won some of the top songwriting awards including the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition\, the prestigious\, Kerrville (TX) “Best New Folk Award” and in one of the nation’s top music markets\, she won the Boston Music Award for “Outstanding Folk Act”\, three of the top prizes in the singer songwriter world. \nAntje has extensive touring experience\, criss-crossing the US and Europe many times. She is a compelling live performer and has been invited to play some of the top festivals including The Newport Folk Festival as well as the Mountain Stage\, Philadelphia and Kerrville Festivals. Internationally\, she’s headlined the The Celtic Connections Festival in Scotland and the Tonder Festival in Denmark. \nIn December of 2007\, The Bank of America featured Antje’s song “Merry Go Round” in a national TV advertising campaign seen by millions\, including a Super Bowl audience. Antje’s fast-growing fan base\, the viral spreading of her music and a track record of sold-out shows are a testament to her growing popularity. Neil Dorfsman\, the producer of Bob Dylan\, Bruce Springsteen and Sting says\, “When I first heard Antje I knew I was witnessing something very special. She creates an entire\, detailed world in verse\, and takes you there with beautiful and understated melody. Her songs are stunning paintings of color and shade and always generate the heat and light that real art should. In an unpoetic and ‘in your face’ world\, she is lyrical and subtle” \nIn 2010\, Antje played the TEDMED conference in san diego. According to CNN: “Then\, this morning\, the tone of the conference turned from intellectual to deeply emotional when Antje Duvekot got up with her guitar and sang about her grandmother descent into Alzheimer’s disease. Twitter revealed that I wasn’t the only one who was holding back tears – Duvekot’s song was all too relatable for those of us who have watched loved ones slip away. ‘And Anna tries to form a thought / But at the end she’s forgotten where she started from / There’s something she would like to say / But the words in her head seem to have got away’ \nPlease call 920-563-9391 to reserve.

SUMMARY:KAIA FOWLER
DESCRIPTION:KAIA FOWLER \nWith soaring vocals and accomplished guitar work\, Kaia shares songs that explore life’s struggles and joys\, drawing on folk\, blues\, roots\, and rock traditions. Inspired by nature and the human condition\, Kaia’s songs resonate with strength and vulnerability as she explores a vast emotional landscape. With over 20 years as a performing singer-songwriter\, Kaia draws from a large repertoire of original material and select cover songs by artists such as John Prine\, Carole King\, Bonnie Raitt\, and Stevie Nicks. \nFor this special concert\, Kaia will be joined by lead guitarist and percussionist Caleb Wood who enriches her music with his intuitive playing. Formed this summer\, the duo has delighted audiences across Wisconsin with their haunting ballads\, rhythmic folk tunes\, and old-time blues songs. You will be glad you came to see this mother-son pair in concert. \nKaia’s songwriting has been compared to Joni Mitchell’s for its lyrical poetry\, rich melodies and engaging chord progressions. She placed as a finalist for the 2012 Great River Folk Festival songwriters contest. Two songs from her 2010 album Seams of My Heart received radio play on Woman of Substance Radio. The Americana Gazette album review had this to say about Kaia’s songwriting: “Each song is very well written\, with a true authenticity of life. You can picture yourself or someone you know in each story line.” It continues\, “Fowler is a tremendous lyricist. Her lyrics paint pictures and her musical notes add the color…” (Aug.-Sept. 2010 issue). Kaia’s latest album\, released October 2015\, is an EP titled All The Way\, dedicated to the memory of her husband Scott R. Jaeger who died of pancreatic cancer in 2013. A portion of the proceeds from sales of All The Way benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. She is currently working on her third studio album. \nSee videos of Kaia’s recent performance at a house concert and listen to samples from her albums at her website.

SUMMARY:10 STRING SYMPHONY
DESCRIPTION:“Nashville duo 10 STRING SYMPHONY began as a partnership of mutual admiration a much needed creative release valve for Rachel Baiman and Christian Sedelmyer\, two 5-string fiddle players and veteran sidemen of Nashville’s music scene. Rachel\, a former Illinois state fiddle champion in the old time tradition\, needed an outlet for the new sort of songs she was writing\, while Christian\, originally a classically trained violinist\, now a current touring member of the Jerry Douglas Band\, was looking to get in touch the impetuous spirit of the rock bands he played in before his arrival in Nashville. With the love of the 5-string fiddle and its musical possibilities as its focal point\, the band’s mission statement was as clear as it was expansive:\nTwo fiddles. Two Voices. Epic music. \nAnd yet\, “Weight of the world\,” the band’s latest batch of recordings to be released on Oct. 23rd\, is not at all the record one might expect from a duo of seasoned Nashville fiddlers. This is not a record of showboating no mere polished showcasing of technical virtuosity. Rather\, at its core\, “Weight of the world” is raw and intimate a nuanced and patient record with designs to move rather than merely impress its listeners. Rachel and Christian’s musical prowess and chemistry is certainly on display for those in the know\, but listening deeply reveals that these flourishes are always in service of reaching the listener emotionally the spiritual earnestness of songcraft which keeps us perennially returning to the roots of American music….. \n“Weight of the World” is a snapshot of an impetuous band in midstride old souls who are passionately determined to speak to our contemporary moment. From the sounds of it\, this is just the beginning.” -James Wilson (Sons of Bill) \n\nThey do things with fiddles you wouldn’t expect” NPR All Songs Considered “The Newest and Most Promising Voices in Americana”\n“…a dynamic musical stew that covers a wide spectrum of acoustic-based roots music\, hitting on old-time\, folk and bluegrass\, all delivered with a dash of rock and roll spunk.” -American Songwriter Magazine\n“When each song ended\, the two pressed tight into their microhphones\, savoring the last strains of the harmony – and even the bartenders seemed to be leaning forward breathlessly\, awaiting someone to clap first. Their self titled recording aptly demonstrates the power of a spare\, tightly-connected acoustic performance that is given room to evolve – for bluegrass fans\, the lightning fast harmonic runs on dueling fiddle is worth the price of admission alone. But it’s the off-road experiments\, especially from Christian’s biting bow strokes that will make future audiences take note.” –The Bluegrass Situation\n“…Stirring together Old-Time flavors with the broader range of influences brought by an omnivorous musical appetite” -The Nashville Scene\n“An unassumingly intriguing record…something out of the ordinary” –Steve Hunt\, fRoots Magazine (UK)\n\nPlease call 920-563-9391 to reserve.

SUMMARY:CORKY SIEGEL & HOWARD LEVY
DESCRIPTION:Tickets may be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets by clicking on the Buy tickets widget right here: \nThe contrasting musical conversations between these two giants of jazz and blues\, both who are stellar performers on harmonica and piano\, has proven to be a riveting edge-of-your-seat experience. Individuality\, uniqueness\, playfulness and adventure\, are all trademarks of both the stylings of Siegel and Levy. They draw the audience in with an intimacy to their performance in a way that only old friends of several decades with a special connection can. They constantly entertain with a grand sense of humor while dazzling you with sheer jaw-dropping skill and virtuosity. \nCORKY SIEGEL is\, of course\, the award-winning composer who\, at a very young age\, learned his craft at the feet of such legendary first generation bluesmen as Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf and as a part of Siegel-Schwall Band. With his Chamber Blues ensemble\, he is credited with moving the blues from smokey clubs onto the classical concert stage and obliterating musical categorization in the process. \nHOWARD LEVY is probably best known as a founding member of the GRAMMY winning group Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. He has recorded with a long list of greats such as Paul Simon and Dolly Parton\, as well as frequent guest appearances performing on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion weekly National Public Radio show. \nAny audience member who has attended their forays together can tell you this will be a great evening.

The Thorns are Perry Baird (guitar\, vocals)\, Jeff Mason (guitar\, bass\, vocals)\, Tom Cook (bass\, banjo\, mandolin\, celtic bouzouki\,mandocello\, and vocals). The first and now former Rose\, Erica Flyte\, headed to Massachusetts recently. The newest Rose\, Angela Martin Licari (Madpolecats)\, will join the fellows on either violin or fiddle (it will depend on which one she brings\, and what gets spilled on it). They’ll wind their way through a mix of contemporary and traditional folk\, pop\, and blues tunes\, plus a few novelties of highly suspect origin. \nPlease call to reserve at 920-563-9391.

SUMMARY:MARK DVORAK/ BILL CAMPLIN/ RICK HARRIS
DESCRIPTION:These three will share the stage\, and each will feature some songs by Wisconsin songwriter LARRY PENN. \nMARK DVORAK plays folk and blues on banjo and guitar – carrying on the tradition of stalwarts like the above-lauded Mr. Penn. “Mark is a charismatic performer with a spark of gentle passion that lights every concert hall and every greenway where he lifts his voice in celebration of the old songs. He has been called “a folk singer’s folk singer who follows unerringly in the footsteps of Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie\,” and his song writing has been called “wondrous” and “profound.” \nRICK HARRIS has been a working musician since the mid-1960s\, first as a drummer in both rock and blues bands playing throughout the Midwest and more recently on guitar performing his own original vision of American roots music. He currently lives in Mineral Point and spends his days pursuing his two passions: songwriting and painting. Rick has released four CDs and his paintings are in private collections in both the U.S. and U.K. \nBILL CAMPLIN  is a regional singer-songwriter who takes this rare opportunity he offered himself to have a play date with 2 friends. \nPlease call 920-563-9391 to reserve.

SUMMARY:JACK WILLIAMS
DESCRIPTION:JACK WILLIAMS – it will be a pleasure to have him share his talents again. \nMusic legends Peter Yarrow (Peter\, Paul\, & Mary) and Tom Paxton lauded Williams as ‘the best guitar player I’ve ever heard’ and ‘one of my (Paxton) all-time favorite pickers.’ It is no cliché  to say that his music defies genre labeling\, as his style has evolved from a lifetime of musical involvement ranging from beatnik trumpeter and folk revivalist banjo player to country\, rock and R & B electric and steel-guitar player and chamber music composer. \nWilliams spends the majority of his time touring the US\, playing major music festivals and venues\, which have included The Newport Folk Festival and Chicago’s Folkstage\, hosted by Rich Warren of NPR’s nationally syndicated show\, ‘The Midnight Special.’ \nOf him\, Warren says\, “his artistry… is nothing short of amazing. Dazzling picking\, expressive voice\, unique and interesting songs. He is a showman in the best sense of the word and just wowed our audience. I think they would have followed him anywhere.” From a recent performance at a popular Birmingham concert venue\, Moonlight on the Mountain\, proprietor Keith Harrelson said\, “Jack is a fearless singer\, inventive storyteller\, forceful-yet-delicate guitarist\, and holds near-legendary status as a modern-times troubadour…. precisely what kept him relevant to at least three generations of loyal fans.” \nThough sometimes thought of as a ‘singer-songwriter’\, audiences should not expect a night of quiet introspective ballads. Williams is known for his entertaining and high energy performances. He often concludes his shows with a unique finale\, a medley of songs and stories that span the varied styles and voices of his musical past\, keeping audiences enthralled from start to finish. \n“An adept acoustic guitarist and extremely capable in the vocal and songwriting departments…. Difficult to categorize\, Williamsblends folk\, country\, jazz\, and blues in a somewhat gentler Ry Cooder manner…. It would be hard to value one album over the other; both are of high caliber… Possessing a clear tenor\,Williams showcases his fluid fingerpicking style on both discs… both albums are treats for the listener.  Jack Williams comprehends the potency of understatement and inhabits a world that may be less realistic but certainly kinder.” Pieter Hofmann\, DIRTY LINEN \n“…an American Treasure” – Mickey Newbury \n“…one of the strongest guitar players in contemporary folk.”  – Sing Out! \nIf there is anyone not familiar with Jack’s incredible songwriting and prodigious performance skills\, my sympathies to you. A Jack Williams show is a slam-dunk win-win-win for all. One of the most enlightened and entertaining performers I’ve ever encountered. – Dave Humpreys\, Two Way Street Coffeehouse in Downers Grove IL \n“…like a South Carolina version of an acoustic Bruce Springsteen with Jerry Garcia on acoustic lead guitar.”\nMike Agranoff – Folk Project and Minstrel Coffeehouse\, Morristown NJ \n“Jack Williams is one of the most eclectic singer songwriters going. You can hear both the white and black musical traditions in his writing. You can hear country\, you can hear blues\, you can hear jazz. He’s a poet who knows how to write simply. And he’s a remarkable\, magical performer\, with graceful good humor\, and a hot guitar style.”\n– Phil Shapiro\, host\, WVBR’s “Bound for Glory” \n*****Please call to reserve.

SUMMARY:DAVID NOLL
DESCRIPTION:DAVID NOLL‘s  journey began in Texas where as a young boy he wrote poetry and learned to play guitar in his early teens. He joined his first band while still in high school and spent most of his adult years performing in pubs\, restaurants\, and coffee houses in south Texas. \nStill David struggled throughout his life. In a world that often seemed alien and unwelcoming\, he yearned for a sense of belonging. Late in life he was diagnosed with autism and embraced it as a key to unlocking his full authentic self and potential as an artist. From this came new insights and understandings leading to the recording of a new CD\, Serenade to a Life\, a collection of original songs. \n“Am I My Brother’s Keeper” aches with empathy and compassion while “This Place is Not My Home” echoes an innate human desire for acceptance. David’s story telling abilities take us on a nostalgic journey in his award winning “Singing With the Radio” and turn haunting and longing in “Serenade to a Life.” Throughout the collection\, his love for music\, nature and humanity set a spiritually charged course that will leave you wanting more. \nBolstered by winning the 2016 Wisconsin Singer-Songwriter Series Song Contest\, David embarked on a new endeavor seeking opportunities to sing his own songs and exceeding his Kickstarter campaign goal released his new album in October 2016. \nHaving moved with his wife\, Marilyn\, to Wisconsin in 2015\,  David has found inspiration and fellowship in a new singer songwriter community and has played at The Coffee House\, The Wisconsin Singer Songwriter Series\, Turtle Pond House Concerts in Mequan\, The Audubon Nature Center Summer Concert Series and other Milwaukee area venues. He was also a featured performer at the DJ / Venue Showcase for the Folk Alliance Midwest Region (FARM) conference in October 2016 and performed at Two Way Street Coffee House in Downers Grove\, Illinois on March 10th 2017. \nDavid has been described as “a wonderfully versatile artist with a genuine smile and warm heart. His music will draw you in and nourish your soul.” \nPlease call 920-563-9391 to reserve.

DESCRIPTION:Carpe will open at 5:30.  Please come early if you want to eat before the show. \nTickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets by clicking on the Buy tickets widget- right here! can’t you see it?   \nPeter explains it thus: \n“People\, this is the heart of what I do. I love to get musicians together and to play music in its raw\, conversational form. To listen\, to jump in without knowing exactly what comes next\, to be surprised and enlivened. This is the holy grail for me: to play music as though it’s happening offstage\, for pure joy and discovery and communication between friends and strangers.” \nPETER MULVEY – “master guitar wizard\, erudite song writer and just all around great guy. The depth in any Mulvey song is incredible from the mastery of tune & rhythm\, to the lyrics\, even down to the concept of his albums”. Whitney Luckett \nPAUL CEBAR Some idea of what Paul is about: “Milwaukee native Paul Cebar is a singing\, strumming\, and dancing museum of musical culture and a self-styled historian of myriad musical forms. Countless sounds pour forth when Cebar and his Milwaukeeans take the stage. New Orleans\, Chicago\, New york\, Africa\, Brazil\, Cuba\, jump-blues\, gospel\, jazz\, reggae\, calypso\, soul and vintage R&B are sterting points for something that becomes uniquely Cebar. This mishmash helps reimagine and liven up obscure classics\, and the band’s originals present new viewpoints on established styles.” The Onion AV Club \nWILLY PORTER\n“Porter plays intelligent\, groove — heavy folk with hearty abandon”\n— Santa Fe New Mexican \n“With his exquisite\, tranquil guitar work\, Willy Porter could easily astonish an audience without singing one note. His ability to engage the audience with his personality and intellect raises Porter from the level of guitar wonk into the realm of masterful performer.”\n— Earvolution \n“Willy Porter is a relaxed and fearless performer who’ll entertain you as well as move you.”\n— Acoustic Guitar Magazine\n“Porter accentuates well – rendered tales with spit – fire – percussive acoustic guitar strumming and fiery color – chord picking.”\n— Billboard \n“[Willy Porter] can captivate an audience as completely as can an entire rock band.”\n— Washington Times \nBILL CAMPLIN– in a great instance of serendipity\, singer/songwriter cafe/music club owner Bill finds himself at the Cafe Carpe on the same night as these unknowns.  He will appropriately be singing his lonesome tunes in the company of strangers.

SUMMARY:BILL MILLER
DESCRIPTION:A pleasant surprise addition- buy tickets here through Brown Paper Tickets   \nBILL MILLER is an award-winning Native American recording artist\, performer\, songwriter\, activist\, painter\, and world-class accomplished flute player. Over the entirety\, Miller has produced over a dozen albums\, received three Grammy Awards\, numerous NAMA awards (including a “Lifetime Achievement Award) and led Wisconsin’s La Crosse Symphony Orchestra. He is now touring in support of a recent collaboration album Look Again To The Wind: Johnny Cash’s Bitter Tears Revisited where Bill has the title track. \nA Mohican Indian from northern Wisconsin\, Bill Miller has long been one of the most admired figures in the Native American music arena and beyond. As an award-winning recording artist\, performer\, songwriter\, activist\, and painter\, he’s been a voice for the voiceless\, a link between two great and clashing civilizations. On Spirit Rain\, he walks the path of reconciliation in a set of fourteen heartfelt songs and evocative instrumentals. \nCo-produced by Bill and Michael von Muchow\, and written or co-written entirely by Bill\, Spirit Rain took the singer back to his roots. It was recorded at Actual Sound Studios in La Crosse\, WI\, not far from the Stockbridge-Munsee Reservation he called home. “It was very different from being in a media center like L.A. or Nashville\,” says Bill. “Everyone turned off their cell phones. My buddies and I would go fishing on the Mississippi River. The recording was low-tech too: 16-tracks\, no digital. I could have pushed it technically\, but I felt closer to the spirit doing it this way.” \nWith his new album\, Chronicles of Hope\, Bill hopes to further inspire fans\, both present and future. “My faith in my Creator leaves me content with the gifts I have\,” he says\, “and I use them to enrich the world through His blessings. I choose to bless people rather than curse them\, to be a peacemaker rather than a warmaker.” As songs like “The Promise” make clear\, Bill feels just as passionate about saving the environment of North America\, the land of his forebears. ” I think we should feel as if we’re living in the Garden of Eden\, and we should take care of the land\,” he says emphatically. “I’ll always use my music to urge people to preserve the land.” \nBill has an equally active career as a painter. His work has been shown and sold in prestigious galleries around the country\, and he maintains a studio at his Nashville home\, where he lives with his wife and children. With so busy a personal and professional life\, it would seem that Bill Miller could cruise ever onward in easy contentment. But artists don’t work that way. “I’ve been given a lot of second chances in my life\,” he says. “I’ve been through alcoholism and other problems. I was lifted out of the ditch\, and I still see a blue sky above. After years of living against the grain\, I see things as rivers\, creeks and rainstorms\, as the liquid layers of my life.” \nBill is really excited about a brand new ROY ORBISON project.  Roy’s sons want him to do a record honoring their father\, interpreting some of Roy’s songs and doing some of his own songs inspired by Roy. \nBill’s heart is now beating well- at 95% and on its way up after heart failure last April.  That kept him off the road for awhile and he is glad to be back at work. \n
